Boris Gets Out of jail

Like Trump, he almost went down with the Covid pandemic. But it is always a mistake to write Boris off. A few weeks ago his fortunes changed dramatically.

I expect to get out of jail soon. According to the online UK’s Covid Vaccine Queue Calculator there are as few as 1,372,313 or as many 3,751,534 people ahead of me. Given that Britain is managing to vaccinate between 400,000 and 600,000 people every day, that means that I should get my first shot sometime from next weekend. Given the current take-up rate of 70.6 percent, the calculator estimates that my call up will be between the 13th and 24th February. I can live with that. But it could be sooner; two out of the eight friends in my university old boys Whatsapp group had their vaccinations last week.
