Hype and Loathing

It’s hard to know who was more disappointed over last weekend’s MAGA flop: the angry horde of Capitol Hill marauders that wasn’t; or the hysterical Washington press corps denied the viral moment that would prove definitively that fans of former President Donald Trump are deranged subversives best locked up or put in medically induced comas.  
Saturday afternoon, a rag tag band of MAGA minions straggled onto the Washington Mall to pledge solidarity with jailed “Stop the Steal” rioters who, eight and a half, long months later, are still languishing behind bars awaiting trial for their part in storming the United States Capitol on January 6th.  Cable news ...
